The Center for Discovery is a leading provider of evidence-based eating disorder therapy with a long-term recovery goal. Helping people make peace with food has been the mission for over 20 years. We’ve helped thousands of patients recover and thrive in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

But our relationship doesn’t end when we finish our program. We’ll keep in touch with you after you finish your program here to make sure you keep using the positive and proactive skills and strategies that will benefit you for the rest of your life. We accept most insurance plans and have locations all over the country to help you.

At the Center for Discovery, we’re committed to offering compassionate care that is based on the most up-to-date research. We’ve helped thousands of patients find their way to the full and rewarding lives they deserve for more than two decades. With us, you’ll work with a team of professionals to create a treatment plan that’s as individual as you are. You’ll discover what’s causing the eating disorder. Through hands-on meal preparation, you’ll learn new coping strategies, such as how to develop a healthier connection with food. You’ll stay with us in one of our small outpatient centers or estate-style residences, which promote healing and customized attention.

In the field of eating disorders, the Center for Discovery has comprehensive treatment teams which are among the best. Our experienced teams are dedicated to providing the finest possible care and collaborate to develop a customized treatment plan tailored to each client’s specific needs.

Treatment teams may contain the following individuals, depending on the level of care:

-Primary Therapist
-Registered Dietitian
-Medical Doctor
-Program Director

We meet our clients where they are on their path to wellness at Center for Discovery, whether they need 24-hour support or are ready to engage in one of our day programs. Adults and Children & Adolescents have different programming.

We take pleasure in being on the cutting edge of eating disorder research. We construct a complete treatment program tailored to each individual client using evidence-based treatment techniques, such as:

-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
-Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

The Center for Discovery knows that if you’re thinking about getting help for an eating disorder, you’re probably feeling a range of emotions: dread that recovery won’t work for you, fear of giving up your eating disorder, anxiety over abandoning your “actual” life for an extended amount of time, and so on.

What’s most important to remember is that you’re not alone. The Center for Discovery team will be there to support and reassure you every step of the way once you contact us. We understand that treatment can be physically and emotionally taxing, but it can also be extremely rewarding.

We’ve been assisting thousands of people for over 20 years by providing new coping skills, tools, support systems, and success techniques. Our program strikes a good mix between individual treatment and group therapy, as well as time to apply what has been learnt. RTC patients can expect to be cared for 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patients in IOP should anticipate to be seen three to five times per week for three hours each time.

At the Center for Discovery , we believe that real-world success begins with transferable abilities. Whether patients are in a residential treatment center (RTC), a partial hospitalization program (PHP), or an intensive outpatient program (IOP), our loving staff will help them comprehend what life will be like following treatment and build a sense of what life will be like in recovery. Treatment at CFD takes place in pleasant, friendly spaces that mimic the environments one could encounter after treatment.

-Several levels of care (RTC, PHP, IOP)
-Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention therapy are examples of evidence-based treatment techniques
-Art, music, and equestrian therapy are examples of experiential therapy (varies per location)
-Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, and All Foods Nutrition are examples of unique and innovative nutritional programs that are based on real-life recovery beliefs
-Exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy and fitness (For young patients, there is an educational assistance program)
-Our own COVID Clean Commitment policy, based on CDC guidelines
-Clinical and medical healthcare professionals who are supportive
-Aftercare program that is nurturing

We are here to help you or someone you know who is going through a difficult time.
