Winnebago Mental Health Institute is a Wisconsin state psychiatric hospital in Oshkosh. It treats people of different ages with complex psychiatric and behavioural conditions, including some patients with co-occurring substance-use needs. It is not a general walk-in addiction rehabilitation centre.

Admission and services

Patients are admitted through county health and human-services agencies or the court system. The hospital does not accept walk-ins. Its civil and forensic units provide assessment, stabilisation, psychiatric treatment and competency-related services; a youth unit serves children and adolescents with psychiatric, behavioural or developmental needs. Effective 31 March 2026, admissions are being accepted at Gordon Hall during a long-term construction project.
